What survives of 2017

The league did not move to Sleeper until 2018, so there is no game-by-game record of 2017. Two different things survive, and they are not equally complete.

The commissioner's own table of final records is complete — he wrote it down at the time, and it is what the standings below are. It is a stated fact, not a sum over surviving games, which is why it can name every one of the 12 teams with a real record.

The game log is not. 64 games from 2017 survive in it — 58 of the 78 regular-season games that table counts, plus 6 playoff games it does not count at all, and they are not a random sample: the commissioner logged the games he judged notable at the time — close finishes, big scores — and left the rest. So the section below is a list of surviving games, not a week-by-week account of the season, and no season total, average or streak anywhere on this site is built from it.

Final records

Stated, not derived

2014-2017 survive as roughly 200 of about 340 games, curated by the commissioner for being notable rather than sampled at random. Every derived column here -- all-play, expected wins, luck, efficiency, median record, top-score weeks -- is computed over EVERY week of a season. Computed over a curated subset it would not be a rougher figure, it would be a different and wrong one, so these seasons show the record that was written down and nothing derived from a log that is missing its quiet weeks. Every team has exactly 13 results here, so this is the regular season only. Ordered by wins, then by points scored — the league's own tiebreak.

2017 final records as stated by the commissioner, ordered by wins then points scored.
